An Educational Trip to নিভৃত নৈৰ্ঋত Nursery

On 20th August 2025, our school organized an educational trip to নিভৃত নৈৰ্ঋত Nursery. The trip was organized by our respected Agricultural teacher, Krishna Sarma Ma’am.

There were 12 students and one teacher. We started our journey at 10:30 a.m. by e-rickshaw and reached the nursery at 11:00 a.m.

The nursery is owned by Mrs. Dipjyoti Dutta, who welcomed us warmly. The area of the nursery is not very big, but it is managed very well. The nursery is set up in their home building and is located at the downside of a low hill. From the nursery, we could see the beautiful Brahmaputra River.

During our visit, we learned about the important factors of a general nursery. We learned that a nursery needs good soil, proper sunlight, and adequate water supply. Regular watering, weeding, pest control, and proper spacing of plants are essential for healthy growth.

We saw many varieties of plants such as flowers, cactus, orchids, chillies, and ornamental plants. We learned about the process of taking care of plants, the use of correct manure, and the difference between chemical farming and organic farming. We were also allowed to take photographs of the plants.

We learned that a nursery can be taken up as a career and helps in generating employment. At 1:30 p.m., we returned to school by e-rickshaw. The trip was very educational and enjoyable.

We sincerely thank Krishna Sarma Ma’am and Mrs. Dipjyoti Dutta for this wonderful trip. We hope to go on more educational trips in the future.
